Florida CareerLINK Celebrates Eighth Year in Business

Florida CareerLINK, the leading recruitment services provider in Tampa Bay, is celebrating its eighth birthday today at 5:30 PM with a party for its 100-plus regional employer clients at Tampa’s Blue Martini Lounge at the International Plaza Mall.

“It’s hard to believe we’ve been in business eight years already!” said Pam Kauten, president of PEAK Connections, Inc., Florida CareerLINK.com’s parent company. “We’ve seen a dramatic increase in the number of jobs and quality of talent in this market this year, and excited about what that bodes for the region’s economy in 2006 and beyond. The celebration will acknowledge several key milestones the company has achieved in the past year, including
  • exclusive online recruitment partnerships with the Weekly Planet and Tampa Bay
    Technology Forum web sites;

  • the addition of new functionality in the Florida CareerLINK.com web site that allows employers to send automatic responses to job seekers and lets job seekers copy
    and paste their resumes in the resume database;

  • sponsorship of the 2005 Tampa Bay Technology Forum Summer Tech Jam, a benefit that netted over $30,000 toward the CompuTer-rific Program, which provides equipment and labor donations for computer labs in area Boys and Girls Clubs;

  • and the launch of a new marketing campaign, “YOU’RE HIRED!,” a positive twist on the famous “You’re Fired!” dismissal issued by Donald Trump on the hit television show, The Apprentice.
In addition to celebrating achievements of the past year, FloridaCareerLink’s party guests will learn more about the upcoming PEAK Connections Job Fair, which will be held on Tuesday, September 27 at the A La Carte Event Pavilion in Tampa.

Billed as Tampa Bay’s premier job fair, the event will be supported by several weeks of pre-event promotion, including outdoor advertising, radio spot promotion on 93.3 FLZ, 97X and WILD 98.7; and advertising in the Weekly Planet, La Gaceta, The Tampa Tribune, St. Petersburg Times, and Tampa Bay Business Journal.
